Flyers' Noah Cates out for remainder of series against Hurricanes with lower-body injury

VOORHEES TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Flyers center Noah Cates will miss the remainder of Philadelphia’s second-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Carolina Hurricanes with a lower-body injury, coach Rick Tocchet said Wednesday.In eight playoff games, the 27-year-old Cates has one goal, three assists and a minus-2 rating. Cates, primarily the Flyers’ third-line center, played in all 82 regular-season games and set career highs in goals (18), assists (29) and points (47).
