Norfolk Police arrested five people after breaking up an unlicensed rave in the village of Little Snoring during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Officers were alerted to the disturbance shortly after 1am on August 23, with the event near Fakenham prompting complaints from residents across the surrounding area.
Those arrested face a range of suspected offences, including drug driving, drink driving, possession of a Class A substance with intent to supply and operating a licensable activity without the required authorisation.
The noise from the gathering could reportedly be heard as far away as neighbouring Great Snoring, with locals taking to social media to voice their frustration.
Police arriving at the scene confiscated sound systems, generators and vehicles used for the event.
The entrance to the site was then sealed off to prevent further attendees from joining the gathering.
Authorities maintained a close watch throughout the night and into Sunday morning before instructing partygoers to leave and disperse.
By late morning, a significant number of those attending had vacated the site.
An inquiry is now under way as detectives work to establish who was behind the organisation of the illegal event.
Superintendent Craig Miller said: "We are committed to doing everything we can to prevent, disrupt and stop these events from taking place, while reducing their impact on local communities."
He thanked the landowner and nearby residents for their patience as officers worked to bring the situation under control swiftly and safely.
"Unauthorised music events such as this can cause significant disruption and often result in damage to the natural environment.

"As they are not required to meet recognised safety standards, they can also place attendees at risk," he added.
The superintendent confirmed that the force's efforts would not end with the closure of the event, with investigations into those responsible set to continue.
Patrick Galbraith, a resident of Great Snoring, told the Eastern Daily Press that he visited the rave site on Sunday morning.
Despite the disruption, he said he found the attendees "very friendly".
"A young raver apologised for snorting a white substance off his phone in front of me," Mr Galbraith added.
Mr Galbraith also reported that officers told him they required riot shields to intervene at the event.
"This surprised me as there were not that many ravers," he said.
In February, the annual Night Time Industries Association report found that around 1,350 illegal raves are held across Britain every year.
