ALBAWABA - A ship fully loaded with liquefied natural gas (LNG) has left the Gulf and gone through the Strait of Hormuz for the first time since the conflict in the Middle East, marine tracking firm Kpler announced Tuesday.
It is worth noting that the Iranian army closed the Strait of Hormuz in early March when the United States and Israel launched attacks on Tehran. Since March, Iran has banned any ships from passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
"The LNG carrier Mubaraz, controlled by the Emirati national oil company Adnoc, left the Gulf in April with 132,890 cubic metres of LNG on board, having loaded at Das Island in the United Arab Emirates on March 2," according to Kpler data analysed by AFP.
