At a press interaction attended by office-bearers and members, President Poonam Dhillon and General Secretary Padmini Kolhapure rejected the claims and maintained that the association’s finances and functioning are governed by transparency and constitutional rules. The media interaction came in response to recent statements by some former members, which the association described as presenting a one-sided account. Poonam Dhillon said allegations made by television actor Upasana Singh were “completely baseless and false”, adding that every penny raised by CINTAA was accounted for and reached its intended beneficiary. “Every penny raised is fully accounted for and reaches its rightful beneficiary. Not a single rupee is used for personal gain,” Dhillon said.
