It's alleged the assault took place at the student accommodation quarters on Sunday night when the pair were alone in a room. It's reported the pair had been drinking with other recruits at a licenced premise in the nearby town before returning to the campus. 'On April 12, 2026, police received a report of an alleged sexual assault at the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn,' a NSW Police spokesperson said. 'The alleged female victim, who is a student at the academy, is receiving support and welfare assistance from academy staff as the investigation continues. 'A male student at the academy has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation.' Both recruits have given statements and it is expected the other trainees who were with the pair will also be interviewed, The Daily Telegraph reports.
