Now, housebuyers have the chance to live in a picturesque cottage on the shores of Loch Carron amid the landscape where the series was filmed. However, those wanting to snap up the semi-detached cottage in Plockton, Ross-shire, will have to pay £740,000 to bag the home. The three-bedroom cottage on Harbour Street spans 1,860 square feet. Estate agent Remax Skye says it has been renovated and extended by the current owners, adding an open-plan living area and bedroom suite. But the sale has not been welcomed by all.  Mary Jane Campbell, chair of Plockton and District Community Trust, said she was ‘staggered’ at the price. She added: ‘The school roll is going down and we need young families. This will certainly be out of their reach. ‘About a third of Harbour Street are second homes or holiday lets because they have such great views.’ No comments have so far been submitted.
