Dorothy Kuspis died on May 27 at the age of 98. As if dealing with her death wasn't difficult enough, her final arrangements gave the family an unwanted surprise. Ashleigh Wegner, Kuspis's granddaughter, who knew her as Nanny, told AZ Family that her mother and uncles chose an urn from Amazon. Wegner bought a small brass heart, and a small portion of cremated remains was set aside for close relatives. 'It came within a couple days,' Wegner told the outlet. 'When I opened it, it was just a little dusty.' But the situation soon became even more disturbing, she said. 'I unscrewed the back and that's when I noticed it still had remains inside of it,' the granddaughter said. 'And that was like, I have - who are you and what are you?' They spread those ashes in the Arizona mountains and plan to spread the ashes of the most recently found remains in the same fashion.
