Families to get cash to help with school uniformsJust nowShareSaveAdd as preferred on GoogleJulia Gregory, Channel IslandsChris Craddock/BBCFamilies can get support with the cost of school uniform and equipmentFamilies can get up to £150 help for each child's back to school costs with a government bonus, the Minister for Social Security said.The money was aimed at helping to pay for uniforms, shoes, stationery and other back to school essentials for children from reception to Year 11.Eligible households would receive £100 for each primary school child and £150 for each secondary school child during the summer holiday in a lump sum per household.The means-tested bonus was open to families with a combined income of up to £75,000 in 2025 and automatic payments would be made to households receiving Income Support.
