المصدر: GB News | Source: GB NewsWatch the moment GB News host Martin Daubney descends into a fiery clash with Karl Turner after claiming that Tory leader Kemi Badenoch is "at bigger risk" of threat than Nigel Farage.
Shutting down Mr Turner's argument, Martin told the ex-Labour MP it is "just a fact" the Reform UK leader receives "more threats and hostility" than Mrs Badenoch.
Hitting back at Martin, Mr Turner said: "I'll stand by what I say, Martin.
"This is the leader of the opposition who is getting some security detail. These things are decided by security personnel, experts in the field."
TRENDINGStoriesVideosYour SayMr Turner argued: "Now, Farage is a bigger risk, of course he is, but is he a bigger risk than the Leader of the Opposition? I suspect not."
Interjecting the MP, Martin asked: "How many times has Kemi Badenoch been physically attacked in public? How many times has a mob of 50 chased Kemi Badenoch into a pub and smashed her car?
"I'll tell you how many, zero. It's not a competition that anybody wants to win. It's not a competition, do not belittle it."
Mr Turner made his point further, arguing that "just because he's polling well in the opinion polls", does not mean "he needs 28 coppers with him everywhere he goes".
The independent MP told GB News: "The security personnel decide what the security requirements are. He will have been assessed, they will have looked at what the threat is.
"They'll have seen the threats online. Just because he's Nigel Farage and he's polling well in the opinion polling, all of a sudden Farage needs 28 coppers with him everywhere he goes?"
He added: "It's an absolute nonsense, and why should the taxpayer fund it?
"He's not the leader of the opposition and he's not the Prime Minister of this country. So no, he shouldn't get all that state-funded security in my opinion."

Martin vehemently disagreed, responding: "So despite the fact that Nigel Farage often needs a five or six or more man security detail simply to go to the pub, I've seen it with my own eyes, you think stuff it, the taxpayer shouldn't fund that just because he's Nigel Farage. Karl, have you lost your mind?"
Mr Turner assured: "No, I've not lost my mind. He's got £5million off his pal for security, so why don't he pay for himself? That's what he said the money was for.
"Listen Martin, the people who are experts decide what security is required. I'm not an expert. If they say that he requires it, I'm not going to say no, he shouldn't have it, but they've not said that.
"They've offered him the same amount of security as Kemi Badenoch, that's what they've offered according to the press."
Mr Turner concluded that the British taxpayer "will not want to fund" Mr Farage's security as he is "effectively a backbench MP".
He said: "Farage is a member of Parliament, he's the leader of a party. He's got half a dozen MPs, three of which I think left the Tories to go to Reform. He doesn't need it in my view.
"But if the security services say it does, good, he can have it. But I'm not paying, and the taxpayer, your listeners, your viewers, won't be wanting to fund a guy who's a backbench MP effectively.
"He's pretending he's got a shadow cabinet, but he hasn't. In truth, it's a figment of his imagination. He ain't going to be the Prime Minister next week, that's the reality."
