Evil husband jailed for 70 years after hiding wife's body in fertiliser tank as victim's family speak out

A vile man has been convicted of the sickening act of concealing his wife's remains inside a fertiliser tank following her savage murder . Dale Warner, 58, from Toledo, Ohio, was handed a 70-year prison sentence after being found guilty of murder and tampering with evidence in connection with the death of his wife, Dee Warner, 52. A Lenawee County jury in Ohio returned the guilty verdict following a trial lasting several weeks. Jurors were presented with a vast array of evidence, including Warner's police interview, witness testimony, and the findings of investigators. On Thursday, May 8, a judge ordered Warner to serve 60 years for the murder of his wife, plus a further 10 years for tampering with evidence, with both sentences to run consecutively. Prosecutors revealed that Warner killed his wife, concealed her body in a safe, then used farm machinery to move her remains before welding them inside a fertiliser tank, according to the Daily Star. Investigators established that the killing took place after Dee Warner told him she wanted a divorce and intended to sell their family businesses, according to WSFA 12. Warner will not be eligible for parole for 33 years. It follows another case in which a woman was brutally murdered by her ex-boyfriend while taking refuge at her parents' home in the UK. Jo Shaw, 35, and her former partner Ryan Kelly, 41, are reported to have died in an explosion at a property on Sterncourt Road, after Kelly allegedly forced his way inside with an "explosive device." Authorities are understood to be treating the break-in and deaths as a homicide. Neighbours told the Mirror that Kelly, who had a previous conviction linked to a drug gang, arrived at the address carrying what they described as a "grenade," which detonated and killed them both. Avon and Somerset Police confirmed that officers received a call from someone inside the property at 6:17am, reporting a domestically-related incident. The caller stated that a man known to them had forced his way into the house. At around 6:30am, police were informed that the man was "believed to be in possession of an explosive device." Approximately 2 minutes later, an explosion occurred. Officers arrived at the scene at 6:34am, with fire and ambulance services following shortly afterwards. While formal identification has not yet been completed, police believe the woman to be Shaw and the man to be Kelly. Three other people, including the individual who initially reported the domestic incident, were treated for minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment. Neighbour Stuart Blanchard told the Mirror: "The partner's gone there in a crazy state. It wasn't Jo's house, it was her parents', she just lived there. "She had split up with him, and I think she moved there to escape from him," he added. "She had been complaining to the police for some time before this incident, and he had been harassing her. "I'd heard the shouting before while having breakfast, something like 'get out, get out', but there's something every week in this area so I didn't go out," he added. According to Blanchard, he heard a "bang" that shook his door.
