Eshay accused of shooting young mum dead with a home-made gun is unmasked - as horrified friends lash out over her tragic death

Midgley has been charged with the domestic violence shooting murder of 23-year-old Mallorie Jane, the mother of a two-year-old boy. Police allege he used a home-made, unregistered gun in the alleged shooting at Ms Jane's Biggera Waters apartment around 8pm on Sunday.  He was due to face Southport Magistrates Court on Monday, but did not appear in person and was remanded in custody. The matter was adjourned to next month. Midgley, who used the Martinez alias on Facebook, frequently posted pictures of himself in ocean-view apartments wearing the eshay uniform of Nike TN sneakers and designer labels like Fendi, Givenchy, Dior and Guess. A pair of black and white Nike TNs could be seen on the ground outside Ms Jane's Loder Street home on Sunday, alongside a vape. The prolific social media user also used the King Von rap song Armed & Dangerous as his Instagram theme song. Ms Jane's loved ones have bombarded his Facebook page - which is Meta verified despite the false name and has 5,000 followers - with abuse since news of the alleged murder and his arrest became public. 'Nothing good will come of you,' she said.  'I knew then what I do now about you, you’ve always been a wanna be try-hard, desperately trying to make a name for yourself.' Sources close to Ms Jane have told the Daily Mail she was not in a relationship with the accused, and was waiting for her long-time partner Jamie Coulson - father to her son, Tyson - to be released from prison. One friend said Ms Jane had known Midgley for several years, but that the two were never in a relationship.  'Ethan is not the type of guy Mallorie would choose to be with,' said one. My beautiful daughter.'  It is understood little Tyson was not with his mum on the night she died, and was instead in the care of extended family. On Monday, Queensland police released footage of Midgley's Sunday night arrest, during which he went with officers without incident. Ms Jane's neighbours said they were reeling from her death.  One local source said he had spoken to Ms Jane's father recently to warn him about a series of disturbances at her apartment. 'Her father told me she just needs to get the "riff-raff" out of her life,' said one neighbour. A GoFundMe has been launched by Ms Jane's friend Haylee Harris to help cover funeral expenses and support her son. 'Our hearts are shattered following the tragic loss of our beautiful Mallorie, whose life was taken far too soon in a devastating act of [alleged] domestic violence. 'Mallorie leaves behind her precious son, Tyson, a loving sister, and a family whose lives have been changed forever. She was deeply loved and will be remembered for her beautiful heart, kind spirit and the love she had for those around her.' Ms Jane's neighbour Sharon Burgess called triple-0 and was instructed by emergency operators how to perform CPR on the young woman until paramedics arrived. Ms Burgess told reporters she heard a commotion at about 8pm, and a man came outside the unit saying he needed an ambulance.  'I told him "I'll help her mate, don’t worry",' she said.
