Explore Awards Circuit Predictions Pages Oscars | Emmys | Grammys | Tonys Richard Gadd in “Half Man” HBO Max Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie (Updated: April 23, 2026): As Variety reported, David Harbour, who plays Floyd Smernitch in “DTF St. Louis,” will be submitted in the supporting actor (limited or anthology series or movie) category, joining castmates Jason Bateman and Richard Jenkins. With Harbour committing to supporting, he emerges as a potential frontrunner for his first Emmy win, particularly in a category that could feature six to eight nominees. Much may depend on how performers from “Half Man” position their campaigns. The British six-episode miniseries from “Baby Reindeer” creator Richard Gadd is a provocative entry that is likely to generate significant conversation. However, it has yet to be confirmed where its four central actors — Gadd, Jamie Bell, Stuart Campbell and Mitchell Robertson — will ultimately be submitted. There are several possible outcomes for the HBO Max miniseries, but the most likely — and arguably most artistically sound — scenario would place Bell and Robertson (who play older and younger versions of Niall Kennedy) in lead, while Gadd and Campbell (who portray older and younger versions of Ruben Pallister) compete in supporting. Whether that strategy holds remains a question. All official category submissions have yet to be confirmed, and the field could shift before the end of the eligibility cycle. The Emmy Awards timeline begins with nomination-round voting from June 11-22, with nominations announced on July 8. The final voting runs from Aug. 17-26, leading into the Creative Arts Awards and Governors Gala on Sept. 5–6, culminating with the Emmy Awards ceremony on Sept. 14 on NBC.
