Elgin dismiss manager Hale for 'gross misconduct'Image source, SNSImage caption, Allan Hale had been in charge of Elgin City since December 2023Published1 minute agoElgin City have dismissed manager Allan Hale "with immediate effect after a finding of gross misconduct".The club had promoted assistant Stefan Laird to acting manager on 11 May, four days after suspending Hale.And the Scottish League 2 club said on Friday: "Following the conclusion of an internal investigation conducted in accordance with the clubs policies and procedures, we can confirm that the men's first-team manager has been dismissed with immediate effect after a finding of gross misconduct."Hale's suspension came after Elgin finished sixth in Scotland's fourth tier.
