Otomotiv pazarında genel daralma yaşanmasına rağmen elektrikli araç satışlarının yükselişini sürdürdüğünü vurgulayan Erkoç, bu segmentteki büyümenin dikkat çekici boyuta ulaştığını ifade etti. Erkoç, yılın 3 ayında elektrikli araç satışlarının yüzde 18 arttığını belirterek, tüketici tercihlerindeki değişimin hız kazandığına dikkati çekti. Elektrikli araçlara yönelimin temel nedenlerinin çevreci yaklaşım, düşük kullanım maliyetleri ve teknolojik dönüşüm olduğunu dile getiren Erkoç, "Dünya genelinde içten yanmalı motorlardan elektrikli modellere doğru güçlü bir geçiş yaşanıyor. Türkiye'de de bu dönüşüm hız kazandı. Özellikle yakıt maliyetleri, bakım giderleri ve servis ücretlerindeki artış, tüketiciyi daha ekonomik alternatiflere yönlendiriyor. Elektrikli araçlar bu noktada önemli avantaj sağlıyor." dedi. Erkoç, elektrikli araçların Türkiye pazarındaki payının her geçen ay yükseldiğine işaret ederek, mevcut artış trendinin devamı halinde bu yıl elektrikli araçların toplam satışlar içindeki payının yüzde 25 seviyelerine ulaşabileceğini söyledi. Elektrikli araç tarafında büyümenin devam ettiğini anlatan Erkoç, "Bu tablo, tüketici tercihlerinin kalıcı biçimde değişmeye başladığını gösteriyor. Önümüzdeki süreçte elektrikli araçların pazardaki ağırlığının daha da artacağını öngörüyoruz." ifadesini kullandı. Erkoç, Togg'un pazara girmesiyle elektrikli araçlara ilginin daha da güçlendiğini, tüketicinin yerli üretime yüksek ilgi gösterdiğini vurguladı. Togg'un piyasaya sunulmasıyla elektrikli araçlara yönelik güvenin arttığını dile getiren Erkoç, şunları kaydetti: "Bugün ikinci el piyasasında da talep görmesi, bu dönüşümün kalıcı olduğunu ortaya koyuyor. Elektrikli araçlar yalnızca sıfır kilometre pazarında değil, ikinci el piyasasında da giderek daha fazla yer alıyor. Önümüzdeki dönemde batarya ekspertizi, teknik servis altyapısı ve ikinci el değerleme süreçleri daha da önem kazanacak."
