Last week, the head of the world's energy watchdog warned that Europe has just six weeks' worth of jet fuel left due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.‌Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), warned that flight cancellations could happen "soon" if oil supplies remain restricted by the Iran war. Iran maintains tight control over tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz and launched strikes on multiple vessels over the weekend.‌This latest claim has sparked concerns among those with travel plans lined up for the near future and into the summer. Holidaymakers have been flocking to social media to reach out to airlines, including EasyJet, with questions, reports the Express.‌The budget carrier's customer service team has been replying to passengers. On X, one person wrote: "I have a holiday package booked with you in July, with the fuel shortage looking ever more likely.
