The initiative, aligned with the National Family Growth Agenda 2031, follows an agreement between the Ministry of Family, and Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to support the “Family First” programme. Measures include exemptions from Salik toll fees and parking charges for senior Emirati citizens, discounted public transport fares for citizens and students, and fee waivers for people of determination. Authorities also announced reduced costs for vehicle registration and renewal, as well as a 50 per cent reduction in licensing fees for taxi drivers.
