Drug dealer jailed after filming himself driving recklessly at 119mph while banned
A 36-year-old drug dealer from East Harling has been jailed for three years and nine months after recording himself reaching speeds of 119mph whilst banned from driving.
John Scott, who resides on Spinney Drive, received his sentence at Norwich Crown Court on Thursday following his admission to multiple offences.
The footage captured by Scott showed him accelerating to extreme speeds on a single carriageway country road, all whilst serving a five-year disqualification from driving.
Norfolk Constabulary confirmed Scott had pleaded guilty to being concerned in cocaine supply, cannabis possession, and dangerous driving.
Video released by police captured Scott filming his speedometer climbing to 119mph as he sped along a rural road on December 7, with music blaring in the background.
Earlier that day, he had been travelling from Thetford towards Diss on the A1066, where he reached 104mph before turning onto the country lane where his speed increased further.
In separate footage from June 16 near Banham village, Scott recorded himself singing into the camera whilst smoking behind the wheel, wearing sunglasses and no shirt.
Both recordings were made during the period of his existing five-year driving prohibition.

Officers apprehended Scott on December 12 after recognising him as a suspect wanted in connection with drug-related crimes.
Upon his arrest, police seized his mobile phone, which examination revealed had been utilised to coordinate cocaine distribution throughout the Breckland area.
Investigators also uncovered multiple videos on the device showing Scott engaging in reckless driving behaviour.
Scott subsequently admitted to being concerned in the supply of cocaine, possessing cannabis, and dangerous driving when he appeared before Norwich Crown Court.

The court heard how his phone contained evidence linking him directly to drug dealing operations in the Norfolk region.
PC Charlie Large, the investigating officer, stated: "John Scott showed a total disregard for the safety of others, both through his involvement in drug supply and his dangerous driving.
"We know drugs cause real harm within our communities, destroying lives and fuelling further criminality.
"We are committed to tackling those like Scott who choose to profit from this misery.
"Furthermore Scott’s repeated use of his mobile phone while driving, combined with the excessive speeds he filmed himself reaching, is astounding.
"It is remarkable that no-one was hurt.
"We are committed to tackling those like Scott who choose to profit from this misery," PC Large added.
PC Large expressed hope the sentence would deter others from similar conduct on Norfolk's roads.
