Donald Trump lashes out at ‘very dishonourable’ Iran as country’s leadership LEAKS top secret peace terms
المصدر: GB News | Source: GB NewsDonald Trump has lashed out at Iran after officials leaked peace proposals between Washington and Tehran, branding their conduct "very dishonourable".
Taking to social media this afternoon, the President insisted the information released by Iran bore no resemblance to what had actually been negotiated.
"The terms that Iran leaked out to the fake news have nothing to do with the terms that were agreed to, in writing," Trump stated on his Truth Social platform.
"What they said, including their weak and pathetic statement on having a deal, bears no relation to the truth. Very dishonorable people to deal with. With them, there is no such thing as dealing in good faith."
TRENDINGStoriesVideosYour SayThe deal would reportedly prolong the current ceasefire by 60 days, creating a window for both nations to negotiate over Iran's nuclear programme.
Central to the agreement detailed by Tehran is the nation's stockpile of enriched uranium, with the deal reportedly including billions in sanctions relief.
According to an Iranian source speaking to Reuters, the terms would lift American sanctions targeting Iran's oil sector and release billions in frozen Iranian assets.
The agreement would also mandate a complete end to hostilities, encompassing the peripheral conflict between Israel and Lebanon.
"We're not quite at the finish line yet, but we're very close," a senior White House official said in response to the details of the deal.
Vice President JD Vance is anticipated to put pen to paper on the agreement in Geneva, perhaps as early as Sunday - which coincides with President Trump's birthday.
Four US Air Force C-17 transport aircraft departed for Europe yesterday, ferrying equipment in preparation for the Vice President's trip to the Swiss city, where a signing ceremony is being arranged.

Mr Trump told reporters yesterday: "We just made a great settlement of the war with Iran."
"The documents are in pretty final shape, so we'll see. It should be done over the next few days. We'll probably have a signing, maybe in Europe, and it's a great thing."
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is said to have been excluded from the final stages of the negotiation process.
According to Axios, the President's announcement that a deal had been reached came as a complete surprise to the Israeli leader.
Sources told the news outlet that Mr Netanyahu has been reduced to telephoning Mr Trump's associates in an attempt to discover what the agreement contains, remaining uninformed as discussions progressed.
Regardless, the White House appear dead set on concluding negotiations to bring an end to the conflict, which has now lasted three and a half months and greatly disrupted western economies.
