After a bright start, Arne Slot's side were hammered at the Etihad Stadium and the result saw them crash out of the FA Cup.‌Liverpool were allocated 8,000 supporters for the quarter-final but the vast majority had left by full-time. City were already four goals to the good before the hour mark, largely thanks to Erling Haaland's hat-trick, and the Reds' day got worse when Mo Salah had a penalty saved in the closing stages.‌Szoboszlai and his team-mates trudged over to the few hundred fans who'd stayed behind after the final whistle, and he didn't look impressed by the criticism they were receiving. The Hungarian attempted to gee up Liverpool's hardy supporters, who had to endure yet another embarrassing loss in what's been a woeful season.‌After shrugging his shoulders multiple times, Szoboszlai stopped applauding and waved his arms.
