Türkiye Turizm Tanıtım ve Geliştirme Ajansı ile TÜVTÜRK'ün katkılarıyla 27 Nisan'da Almanya'da başlayan Doğu-Batı Dostluk ve İpek Yolu Rallisi'ne katılan grup, dün Kars'a ulaşarak geceyi burada geçirdi. Araçlarıyla şehir merkezinden Akyaka ilçesine hareket eden ekibi, ilçedeki tarihi Tren Garı önünde Akyaka Kaymakamı İsmail Demirtaş ve Belediye Başkanı Ergüder Toptaş karşıladı. Burada bir süre araçlarını park eden ralli ekibi vatandaşlarla sohbet ederek, çocuklara oyuncak hediye etti. İlçeye bağlı Küçük Aküzüm köyünde bulunan 110 metre uzunluğundaki asma köprüden geçen Doğu-Batı Dostluk ve İpek Yolu Rallisi ekibi heyecanlı anlar yaşadı. Ekip, daha sonra UNESCO Dünya Mirası Listesi'nde yer alan Ani Ören Yeri'ne geldi. Burada ekibi Kars Valisi Ziya Polat, Vali Yardımcısı Hayrettin Buğra Güzel, İl Kültür ve Turizm Müdürü Bayram Yığcı, Ani Ören Yeri Kazı Başkanı Muhammed Arslan, Kars Müze Müdür Vekili Hakim Aslan ve il protokolü karşıladı. Vali Ziya Polat, Ani Ören Yeri'nin önemli bir nokta olduğunu ifade ederek, "Ani Ören Yeri hem Türk tarihi hem de dünya tarihi açısından çok önemli bir yer. Burası geçmişte şehirciliğin, pazarın ve İpek Yolu'nun tam merkezi. Kafkasya'yı Anadolu'ya bağlayan köprüden bahsediyoruz. Burası Sultan Alparslan Han'ın Anadolu'da fethettiği ilk topraklar, ilk Türk camisi, çarşısı, hamamı, mezarının olduğu yer, burası Anadolu'daki ilk Türk toprağımız. Doğu-Batı Dostluk ve İpek Yolu Rallisi binlerce kilometreden buralara geldi, daha çok uzun yolları var, Gazi Kars'ta ufak bir mola ondan sonra inşallah yarın yolcu edeceğiz." dedi. Ekibi Kars'ta kış rallisine de beklediklerini dile getiren Polat, "Kars artık bir turizm şehri oldu. Bu sene 600 binin üzerinde turisti misafir ettiğimiz bir kültür, tarih, turizm ve doğa kenti. Kazasız belasız yolculuklar diliyoruz. Ekibimizi kışın da bekliyoruz. Bu şehir her mevsim güzel ama kışın ayrı bir güzel, kış rallisine de beklediğimizi ifade etmek istiyorum, yolları açık olsun." diye konuştu. Doğu-Batı Dostluk ve İpek Yolu Rallisi Derneği Başkanı Nadir Serin de Almanya'dan yola çıkarak Viyana, Sırbistan, İstanbul, Ankara, Nemrut Dağı, Bitlis Ahlat, Erzurum Palandöken'den sonra Kars'a geldiklerini belirterek, "Yaklaşık 7 bin kilometre yol yaptık, önümüzde daha 12 bin kilometre yol var. Biz her sene Kars'a geliyoruz ve Akyaka ilçesinde çocuklara oyuncak getirdik. Buraya gelen yabancı dostlarımız her seferinde ilginç olaylarla karşılaşıyor, bugün asma bir köprüden geçtik. Nepal'e kadar gideceğiz." ifadesini kullandı. Doğu-Batı Dostluk ve İpek Yolu Rallisi ekibi, yarın Ardahan'a hareket edecek.
