The Dodgers’ new closer had not pitched in more than a week due to a right knee that, he and the club insisted, wasn’t bothering him when he entered a non-save situation on Sunday.Díaz faced four hitters and did not record a single out, allowing the Colorado Rockies to further build their lead in a 9-6 loss. His fastball continues to be a concern; after the Rockies quickly loaded the bases against Díaz, his first pitch to Edouard Julien registered at 92.8 mph, tied for the seventh-slowest fastball of Díaz’s career.
