Her son, 3, was in the back seat when the trooper performed a PIT maneuver, which nudges the back corner of a vehicle to send it spinning to a halt.  After several minutes, Jones pried open the rear door of the crushed vehicle as the officer demanded she emerge with her hands in the air.  'My baby's coming out first,' she yelled back to the waiting trooper.  Body camera footage captured the unidentified crying toddler waddling out of the car in distress and disarray. The toddler ran out of the car toward the beckoning trooper, who told him, 'you're okay, come right here, baby.'  An Arkansas mom was detained after police found her driving recklessly with her three-year-old in the backseat An Arkansas state trooper performed a PIT maneuver on Jones's car, causing it to tumble into an embankment The officer berated Jones after she admitted to running from police because she did not have a valid license Per the officer's instructions, Jones crawled out of the vehicle and began pulling herself toward him with her hands in the air. After consoling the boy, the trooper turned to his mother and began berating her for driving so recklessly with her innocent son in the backseat. 'Is it just you?,' the officer asked. 'Why did you run from me with a baby in the car?' Jones informed the officer that she tried to get away because she was driving her boyfriend's car and did not have a license.   'You could've killed your child, ' he said. 'Do you understand? That was the stupidest thing you've ever done in your life. 'Today was the stupidest decision you've ever made.'  Jones attempted to make amends for her alleged reckless driving decision as her child babbled in the background.  'I'm so sorry, sir,' she said.   'You should be sorry,' he replied. 'That was the stupidest thing I've ever seen.' Police placed Jones in handcuffs and patted her down before searching her vehicle.  'Can I at least call someone to come get my baby?' she asked.  Thalia Jones, 23, was arrested after allegedly running from police while driving 80mph in a 55 Jones crawled from the car toward police officers who were waiting to arrest her  Jones was driving on Highway 118 in Joiner, Arkansas at the time of the accident Jones and her son were cleared by EMS at the scene, reported WREG.
