Published: 21:10, 14 May 2026 | Updated: 21:10, 14 May 2026 A doctor stalked a patient and his wife for more than five years while gifting them £30,000. Dr Neitu Jeyasingh bombarded her victims with messages, turned up at their home uninvited – and even let herself in. She sent the man up to 400 messages a day and the patient and his wife even awoke in the middle of the night to find her standing at the foot of their bed.  Jeyasingh left the man countless gifts of Bibles and cash, giving him £30,000 between 2018 and 2023, and accessed their medical records without consent. She also repeatedly turned up at their houses after they moved. Jeyasingh, who worked for NHS Scotland as a locum GP, also went to a hotel the man was staying at in Manchester. The details emerged yesterday when Jeyasingh, who is originally from Indonesia, appeared at Paisley Sheriff Court and pleaded guilty to engaging in a course of conduct which caused fear or alarm. Dr Neitu Jeyasingh pled guilty to engaging in a course of conduct which caused fear or alarm at Paisley Sheriff Court Prosecutor Jason Stark told the court the couple lived on the Isle of Mull in 2018 and that the man had to attend his GP after a rock climbing accident. Jeyasingh, 52, who often works in the Highlands and Islands, was his GP and after seeing her he began to receive messages from her asking how he was. The couple moved to Paisley, where she continued to hound them. Mr Stark explained: ‘There were 300 to 400 messages per day. At one point he had 1,600 messages unread.’ They contacted police, who told Jeyasingh, of Dunfermline, to leave them alone but the harassment continued. Mr Stark added: ‘The accused attended their home address, let herself in, and they awoke to find her standing at the foot of their bed.’ Sheriff Gillian Craig adjourned the case until next month and continued the medic’s bail.
