Stalin further said that the state government fulfilled the long pending demand of the government employees and implemented a promised pension scheme. “Above all these, there are no caste riots in Tamil Nadu unlike the states ruled by BJP. There are no religious riots,” he said. “No mob violence (in Tamil Nadu) as in Uttar Pradesh or as in Manipur. We have thwarted the conspiracies made by the BJP to create such things.” he added. Stressing that Tamil Nadu’s growth must be taken to the next level, he said, the release of DMK’s manifesto was a clear action plan for that. “There are many announcements that I have made (in the manifesto),” he said. AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami had termed the DMK’s newly-announced Illatharasi scheme as a means of “corruption”, on which Stalin said he was jealous. “Seeing our Illatharasi scheme, Palaniswami is burning with jealousy and calling it a scheme for corruption.” he said. On Palaniswami’s claim that there were no issues in the AIADMK-led NDA alliance in Tamil Nadu, Stalin sought to know the reason behind Palaniswami’s frequent Delhi visits. “When they say AIADMK is the leader of the NDA alliance, why did all the alliance parties went to BJP for talks,” he asked. He further sought that why smaller parties were contesting on the BJP’s symbol instead of the AIADMK’s two leaves symbol.
