By LAURA PARNABY, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 17:44, 4 June 2026 | Updated: 17:55, 4 June 2026 A Disney World family meal descended into chaos when a 57-year-old mother allegedly hurled water at a restaurant manager and smashed glasses after being told that her family could not be accommodated at the same table.  Leslie Helen Varley, from Framingham, Massachusetts, threw a spectacular tantrum which landed her in police custody at Disney's Steakhouse 71 restaurant at The Contemporary Resort in Florida on May 19, according to a police affidavit.  Obtained by the Daily Mail, the affidavit states that sheriff deputies detained Varley just before 10pm, and later charged her with two counts of battery and robbery by sudden snatching after she tore the manager's name badge from his suit.  Restaurant employees told the Orange County Sheriff's Office that a red mist descended over Varley when was told that her family would need to be seated across two tables instead of one.  'Leslie became irate and threw three cups of water and ice' at an employee', before snatching his name tag and marching out of the restaurant in a rage, police said.  'During the altercation Leslie proceeded to break four glasses, dropping them to the floor,' the affidavit reads.  Varley is also accused of assaulting a female restaurant manager after she tried to accommodate her family across two tables.  The enraged mother grabbed the manager by her shoulders and 'moved her approximately six steps', per the affidavit.  Leslie Helen Varley, 57, has been arrested at Disney World for allegedly hurling water at a restaurant manager and smashing glasses when waiters told her they could not accommodate her family at one table.
