Avusturya Dışişleri Bakanı Beate Meinl-Reisinger ile Viyana'daki ortak basın toplantısında konuştu. Gösterdiği sıcak ev sahipliği nedeniyle mevkidaşı Meinl-Reisinger'e teşekkürlerini sunan Fidan, hem heyetin hem de mevkidaşının gün boyunca olağanüstü bir misafirperverlik gösterdiğini söyledi. Fidan, Avusturya ile Türkiye arasındaki gündemde birçok başlığın bulunduğuna işaret ederek, Meinl-Reisinger ile son 6 ayda birkaç kez bir araya geldiklerini aktardı. Meinl-Reisinger'ın Antalya Diplomasi Forumu'na (ADF) da katıldığını hatırlatan Fidan, Avusturyalı mevkidaşı ile sık sık yaptıkları telefon görüşmeleri sayesinde de hem ikili hem de bölgesel konuları koordine etme imkanı yakaladıklarını ifade etti. Fidan, Meinl-Reisinger ile yaptıkları görüşmede, ticaret, yatırım, düzensiz göç ve terörizmle mücadele ile konsolosluklarla ilgili bazı sorunların ele alındığını dile getirdi. Düzensiz göçle mücadele konusunda iki ülke arasında güzel bir işbirliği olduğunun altını çizen Fidan, Türkiye'nin bu konuda büyük bir tecrübe kazandığı değerlendirmesinde bulundu. Fidan, Suriyeli göçmenlerin durumunun Suriye'nin yeniden istikrara kavuşmasıyla da yakından ilgili olduğunu ifade ederek, görüşmede bu bağlamda fikir alışverişinde bulunduklarını belirtti. Görüşmede Suriye'nin son bir yıldır ortaya koyduğu istikrarlı yönetim politikalarının hem düzensiz göçle mücadeledeki hem de bölgesel barışı sağlamadaki öneminin altını çizdiklerini aktaran Fidan, Avusturya'daki Türk toplumunun siyasi, sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel yaşamına sundukları katkılardan dolayı Viyana hükümetini tebrik etti. Fidan, Türkiye-Avrupa Birliği (AB) ilişkilerinin önemine işaret ederek, Türk hükümetinin AB üyeliği konusundaki duruşunun değişmediğinin altını çizdi. Avrupa'nın içinde bulunduğu şartların ve de bölgesel gelişmelerin bu üyelik sürecinde bir takım yapısal sorunlar olduğunu yadsınamaz şekilde ortaya çıkardığını ifade eden Fidan, Gümrük Birliği'nin güncellenmesi ve vize serbestisinin sağlanması konularındaki sorunları da çözmeye çalıştıklarını aktardı. Fidan, Avrupa Birliği'nin rekabetçiliğini güçlendirmeyi amaçlayan "Made in EU" ve benzeri girişimlere Türkiye'nin dahil edilmesinin Avrupa'nın tedarik zincirlerinin etkinliği açısından son derece önemli olduğunu vurguladı. Bu iki konuda Avusturya'nın güçlü desteğini beklediklerini dile getiren Fidan, bağlantısallık konusunda iki ülke arasında çok fazla yapılacak iş olduğunu söyledi. Fidan, Orta Koridor ve Üç Deniz Girişimi'nin önemine değinerek Avusturyalı mevkidaşı ile iki ülkenin, Avrupa ile Asya'nın hangi bağlantısallık projeleriyle birbirlerine daha etkili nasıl bağlanabileceği, enerji güvenliği konusunda koridor açma konusunda görüş alış verişi yaptıklarını belirtti. Gazze'deki barış planının nasıl gittiği konusunda konuştuklarını aktaran Fidan, şunları kaydetti: "Gazze'deki barış planının öngörüldüğü gibi, kağıda yansıtıldığı gibi, şartlara uygun bir şekilde ilerlemesi önemli. Tarafların bu konudaki ortaya koyacağı çaba önemli. Özellikle İsrail'in isteksizliğinin baskı altına alınması, ihlallerinin önlenmesi Gazze'de ikinci aşamaya geçiş için fevkalade önemli. Bu konuda hem uluslararası toplumu, hem arabulucuları hem de Barış Kurulunda olan bütün aktörleri gereken tedbirleri alma konusunda da açıkçası uyarıyoruz. " Bölgedeki İsrail yayılmacılığının bir uzantısı olan Gazze ve Batı Şeria'daki şartların bölgeye ve Avrupa'ya hizmet etmediğini belirten Fidan, bunun daha fazla istikrarsızlık, daha fazla enerji güvenliği sorunu ve daha fazla düzensiz göç ortaya çıkarttığını ifade etti. Fidan, İsrail işgali sonucunda Lübnan'da 1 milyon insanın yerlerinden edildiğini hatırlatan Fidan, işgalin yayılmasının daha fazla göç ortaya çıkarabileceğini belirtti. Bakan Fidan, bu nedenle "İsrail'in bu konuda daha nitelikli bir uluslararası baskı altına alınması" gerektiğini dile getirdi. Mevkidaşı ile Rusya-Ukrayna Savaşı'nı da ele aldıklarını aktaran Fidan, Cumhurbaşkanı Recep Tayyip Erdoğan'ın savaşın durması hususunda elinden geleni yaptığını anımsattı. Fidan, "Türkiye, 2022'den itibaren Rusya-Ukrayna müzakerelerine çeşitli boyutlarda ve seviyelerde ev sahipliği yapıyor." diyerek, ABD'nin yürüttüğü arabuluculuk desteğine de güçlü bir destek verildiğinin altını çizdi. Türkiye'nin arabuluculuk politikalarına destek verdiğine işaret eden Fidan, Ankara'nın bu konuda üzerine ne düşerse yapmaya devam edeceği mesajı verdi. Fidan, İran ile ABD arasında devam eden müzakerelerin bir an önce neticeye kavuşması için ellerinden geleni yaptıklarını söyleyerek bu krizin bir an önce sona vermesi ve bu krizden kaynaklanan Hürmüz Boğazı'ndaki tıkanıklığın bir an önce aşılıp normal hayata dönülmesi gerektiğine değindi. Enerji fiyatları, enerji tedariki ve özellikle bölge ülkelerinin gıda ve diğer ürün tedarikinde çok ciddi sıkıntılar olduğunu söyleyen Fidan, bu krizin alternatif bağlantısallığın önemini bir kez daha vurgulamış olduğu değerlendirmesini yaptı. Fidan, İslamabad'da başlayan müzakerelerin başarıyla sonuçlanmasını umarak bu konuda taraflarla temas halinde olduklarını ifade etti. Taraflara ihtilafın çözülmesi konusunda destek verilmeye gayret edildiğini bildiren Fidan, bu konuda yoğun bir mesai olduğunu sözlerine ekledi.
