By WILL POTTER, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 18:02, 16 July 2026 | Updated: 18:18, 16 July 2026 Shocking footage captured the moment a Canadian woman slapped a teenager after she allegedly flew into a frenzy over the girl's 'MAGA clothing', which landed her in ICE custody.  Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, was allegedly seen in the footage shared to social media pummeling the girl on the Jersey Shore boardwalk in New Jersey during Fourth of July celebrations.  The colorful-haired leftist allegedly struck the teenager once on the shoulder during the confrontation, before squaring up and delivering another blow across the girl's face.  As Tracey was allegedly seen then marching away, the teenage girl, whose age was redacted from court documents, stood in stunned silence after being struck. In their brief conversation since she was detained, he said she is 'very upset.' 'She said when she was brought there, she was left in a room where she had to sleep on a metal bench with all the lights on,' Geroni said, adding that his wife was stuck in the same room for an entire 24 hours shortly after arriving. 'She said the conditions in there are horrible... She was obviously very upset.'  Geroni added that most of the other inmates were Spanish-speakers, making it harder for his wife to chat properly with them about her predicament, although he said the other detainees were 'very nice' to her.  He maintains that his wife was not the aggressor in the confrontation that led to her arrest, and insisted that she was the one trying to get away from the group of teens and avoid them. 'Trump is emboldening these people. They're proud of their hate, not love,' he said. When asked how he squares this stance with his social media posts about McConnell, Geroni said it was 'not the same', and answered: 'What are we even talking about here bro?' Geroni's social media also shows clips of his wife performing music in a punk rock band. It is unclear what she does for a living. When Tracey was arrested, Geroni took to social media to share a GoFundMe to help his wife get an attorney and be released, but the fundraiser was pulled down after it was reported. He claimed the fundraiser was pulled down due to it being reported by 'MAGA people', however GoFundMe policies dictate that fundraisers are not allowed if they are raising money for someone accused of crimes. Geroni said he and his wife love their lives in Ocean Beach, but he would move to Canada if needed. 'I would do anything to be with my wife,' he said. 'She was already uncomfortable, and they had been in there at least double' the amount of time. 'After she got into the actual facility, she said that everyone in there was very nice to her, as far as the other people' who were detained, he added.
