By LAURA PARNABY, US SENIOR NEWS REPORTER Published: 21:48, 2 July 2026 | Updated: 21:48, 2 July 2026 Disgraced rapist Oren Alexander has been spotted in a selfie taken from prison by his cellmate, multi-million dollar fraudster David Motovich. The photograph of the pair together in New York federal jail was released in a criminal complaint against Motovich for allegedly illegally possessing a phone in prison. Filed June 30, the complaint claims Motovich obtained the phone in jail despite it being a 'prohibited object', and displays a selfie taken on the device as evidence. The fallen fraudster is pictured grinning beside a man whose face has been redacted with a gray square over his face. Multiple law enforcement sources have identified the man as Oren Alexander, 38, according to New York Daily News. 'He has been nonstop on (the) phone from there,' one source told the outlet. Detectives seized the device and found more than 500 contacts for people associated with Motovich, according to the complaint. Disgraced rapist Oren Alexander has been spotted in the selfie shown above, taken from prison by his cellmate, multi-million dollar fraudster David Motovich The Alexander brothers have been found guilty of all charges in their sex trafficking trial. They were convicted on ten counts by a jury of six women and six men at the Manhattan federal court. They will be sentenced on August 6 Oren Alexander and his brother Tal were once two of the highest-paid real estate brokers in the US. Along with Oren's twin, Alon, they were convicted in March of using their using their wealth and influence to drug and rape multiple women. All three are being held at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center until sentencing on August 6, where the likes of Luigi Mangione and former Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro are also awaiting trial. Meanwhile, Motovich as found guilty in November of using his family-run lumber business as a shell to illegally funnel $10 million in checks for clients. The Alexanders were accused by 11 women who said they were attacked at various locations, including the brothers' New York City homes, a Colorado ski pad, a Hamptons mansion, and on board a Caribbean cruise. Each brother faces a mandatory minimum of 15 years to life in prison on charges including sex trafficking, conspiracy and other offences tied to drugging and sexual assault. In his closing arguments, Assistant US Attorney Andrew Jones told jurors the accounts revealed a disturbing pattern among the brothers, ripped straight from a rapist's 'playbook.' The trio pleaded not guilty and their defense sought to portray their sexually charged behavior as morally reprehensible - but not criminal. Tal Alexander (front, blue shorts) and identical twins Oren and Alon (back row) faced 10 counts relating to federal sex trafficking charges Alon Alexander was supported throughout the four week trial by his model wife Shani Zigron The parents of high-profile real estate agent brothers Alon, Oren and Tal Alexander and Shani Alexander, wife of Alon Alexander, react as a jury foreperson reads the verdict in their federal sex trafficking trial That defense was blown apart when the jury returned the resounding verdict. Tal and Oren are best known as high-end realtors who have sold $100 million properties in the Hamptons, Miami and New York City, while Alon was an executive at the family's multi-million dollar security firm, Kent. Their fourth brother, Niv Alexander, was not involved or charges with any of the crimes. Ahead of the trial, the government stated that the brothers used 'their wealth and prominent positions in real estate to create and facilitate opportunities to sexually assault women'. Tearful testimony from the 11 accusers, eight of whom were named in the indictment, bolstered that narrative. They told how they met the brothers through dating apps, parties and nights out before being promised luxury travel opportunities. The accounts often began with the brothers offering drinks which the accusers believe were laced with drugs. One victim, using the pseudonym Isa Brooks, told the court that she felt like she was being 'mauled by wild animals' during an alleged rape by Tal, Alon and two other men when she was just 16-years-old. The prosecution also presented a litany of alarming texts, videos, and blog posts in which the brothers bragged about their conquests and openly discussed procuring drugs. Their defense tried unsuccessfully to dismiss their words as bravado and shock-jock humor. Oren Alexander is being supported by his wife, Kamila Hansen, who attended court a handful of times One particularly harrowing moment in the court came as jurors were played a video which prosecutors said showed a drugged 17-year-old being raped by Alon, then 21. The woman, using the pseudonym Amelia Rosen, testified that she had no idea about the video until she was contacted by federal prosecutors. All three are married, although Tal's wife Arielle is estranged and filed for divorce almost immediately after his arrest and the birth of their first child. Alon's wife Shani Zigron, a former Victoria's Secret model, has been his unwavering supporter, dutifully attending each hearing and remaining mostly stone-faced during victims’ testimony. Oren's model wife Kamila Hansen has appeared in court only briefly on two occasions. Ahead of the trial the brother's parents Orly and Shlomy Alexander issued a staunch statement standing by the trio, insisting: 'We know who our boys are.' However even they were left cringing at points during the explosive evidence, with dad Shlomy exiting the court room to avoid having to hear excerpts read aloud from a vulgar blog associated with Alon and Oren detailing their sexual conquests. Now this trial is over, Alon and Oren face three state rape charges in Florida including one related to an alleged attack at Alon's Miami Beach condo in 2016. No comments have so far been submitted.
