Le technicien catalan a toutefois tempéré :
« Il est né en Espagne donc j’ai toujours souhaité que Rodri reste le plus longtemps possible dans ce club, car c’est un joueur incroyable, de très haut niveau, mais chacun est maître de sa propre vie.
