The Broncos probably should have warned their fans ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft that they would need a roll of red string and a whiteboard to follow all of the team’s trades.Head coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton made four deals during the second and third days of last year’s draft. Those trades included a whopping 20 selections swapped among five teams. The result of their Day 2 dealings was that the Broncos moved back in the second round to select higher in the third and fourth rounds. That maneuvering ultimately landed them running back RJ Harvey (second round), defensive end Sai’vion Jones (third) and outside linebacker Que Robinson (fourth). The Broncos, Paton said afterward, went into the draft’s second day with four players they were targeting. Pulling the trade levers helped them land three of those players.Advertisement
