An official reportedly said that all three men have been arrested. The complainant was on a two-wheeler in east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar area when he was ambushed by Tavleen and Mohit, riding a scooty and wearing masks, news agency PTI reported. Mohit, who sat behind Tavleen on the scooty, fired two shots in the air to scare the victim. Pankaj, the third accused, was actively involved in planning and executing the armed robbery. Police launched a probe and scanned more than 200 CCTV footage from the area and nearby routes to track the suspects. An officer said that Tavleen, the complainant's son, emerged as the key suspect in the case. He was reportedly caught trying to flee from Mukherjee Nagar. Tavleen had planned the armed robbery with his associates to get easy money to fund a luxurious lifestyle, the officer added. The remaining two suspects, Mohit and Pankaj, initially fled to Bihar from Anand Vihar on a private bus. However, police officials tracked the bus and intercepted it at the Lucknow Toll Plaza, arresting the two suspects. During the probe, police also learned that Mohit had obtained the pistol used in the robbery from Bihar's Munger for ₹45,000. Further efforts are underway to recover the weapon and track the source of the pistol. Officials said that neither of the accused has any criminal history, adding that further investigation is ongoing. Earlier this week, a 40-year-old man was stabbed to death in Delhi's Sultanpuri by four men during an alleged robbery attempt. The victim, Rajinder Kumar, was taken to the Sanjay Gandhi Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed during treatment. The man was reportedly on his way home when the attack, aimed at robbing him, took place. The accused group of people tried to snatch his belongings and stabbed the man when he resisted. Police further said that two men and two juveniles have been arrested in connection with the case.
