Officers were dispatched to his home early Wednesday following a “report of a deceased individual,” the Lake Havasu Police Department said in a release to NBC News. Upon arriving at the scene around 2 a.m., officers “located a male subject who suffered from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” the release stated.His death remains under investigation.The California native appeared on the hit reality series “Storage Wars” since it debuted in 2010, dubbing himself “the gambler” for his ventures into risky auction bids. The A&E series features teams of bidders who search for abandoned and repossessed storage units that could potentially contain valuable items. Though Sheets was once known for pursuing the “big hit” — accumulating four Picasso pieces in his throughout his years in storage auctions — his A&E biography notes that he eventually moved away from collecting, finding greater pride in the adventure itself.Sheets appeared in 163 episodes, according to IMDb.Brandi Passante, a co-star of Sheets on “Storage Wars,” posted throwback photos of him in remembrance on Wednesday, along with a heartfelt message about suicide awareness.“I’m at a loss for words.
