Dan Repacholi, Labor MP for Hunter, shares bizarre photo of himself urinating - sparking backlash from repulsed followers

Hunter MP Dan Repacholi posted a picture of himself in thick bushland, with his back to the camera, legs apart, peering downwards and appearing to answer nature's call. Repacholi shared the image on social media with a slightly noble justification.  'We've all been there. Long drive, no servo in sight, and suddenly your bladder is running the show,' Repacholi said in Wednesday's post. 'Funny story aside, your wee can tell you plenty about your health - especially when it comes to men's health.' He warned his male followers that any changes in urinary habits could be an early sign of prostate issues or other health concerns. 'Going more often, getting up through the night, a weaker flow, pain, or blood in your urine are all signs to book in with your GP,' he said. 'As we get older, prostate changes become more common, so it's important not to ignore these symptoms. Drink enough water, go when you need to, choose clean, safe places when you can, and don't hold it in like a hero.' 'If women can hold it in, so can men. It's disgusting to see men pee on the side of the road. What does it teach young boys? Usually I like your posts but this (is) straight up wrong,' one woman commented. Another said: 'It's alright for you blokes, the world's a man's toilet! Try being female and managing these issues.' 'That's actually a bad bogan look for a MP and I'm Labor,' a follower added. 'So you're encouraging peeing in public? Noted.' However, others praised him for raising awareness about men's health. 'I turned 40 today and given both my Dad and other blokes in my family have had Prostate Cancer, I had my PSA done a week ago. Was so easy and it is so much better than being complacent. Grateful for your advocacy on the issue of prostate health,' one man said. Another joked: 'At least you're controlling the weeds!' Repacholi's post comes weeks after he was appointed Special Envoy for Men's Health. The Daily Mail has contacted Repacholi for comment.
