المصدر: GB News | Source: GB NewsCristiano Ronaldo is stepping into the world of scripted television, serving as both executive producer and on-screen presence in a new football drama series titled Day 1s.
The 41-year-old has thrown his weight behind the project, which centres on a fictional elite football agent named Stanley Dalton.
Damian Lewis, renowned for his roles in Homeland and Band of Brothers, takes on the lead part as Dalton.
The 55-year-old British actor has already been spotted on set as production gets underway.
TRENDINGStoriesVideosYour SayCameras have begun rolling at Barnet FC's ground in North West London, reports The Sun, marking the start of what industry figures expect to be a high-profile production.
Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry will also appear in the series.
Henry was recently spotted on location during the opening day of shooting at Barnet's ground.
Joining the cast are British rapper Dave and newcomer Carlotta Banat.

The show's storyline was conceived by real-life football agent Darren Dein, who counts Henry among his clients.
Dein also serves as an executive producer on the project.
The drama follows the fictional world of Dalton as he navigates the high-stakes business of top-level football representation.
A television insider predicted the series will trigger fierce competition among streaming platforms.
"The sheer calibre of figures behind it, not to mention the cast, means it's a prestige project, albeit a surprising one for Ronaldo as he crosses into making dramas," they said.
"After the World Cup, there's a renewed international interest, particularly in the States, in British football.
"But this isn't a sitcom. It's definitely a drama, with some comedic elements, and has some serious names backing it."
Day 1s is being produced through URMarv Studios, the production company Ronaldo established with filmmaker Matthew Vaughn, the director behind Kingsman and Kick-Ass.
Vaughn launched the venture earlier this year with the stated aim of shaking up the traditional film-making industry.
Speaking about the collaboration, Vaughn said: "Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him."
Ronaldo described the move as "an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures".
The Portuguese star is in pursuit of 1,000 professional goals as he continues to captain Saudi league champions Al-Nassr.
