College baseball week in review: Georgia clinches SEC title, UCLA loses a Big Ten game!

Georgia entered the 2026 season as one of college baseball’s toughest teams to forecast. The Bulldogs had plenty of talent, but with 22 first-year transfers and a lack of proven weekend starting pitching, there was seemingly a wide range of outcomes for Wes Johnson’s third team in Athens.Well, I guess we know what Georgia’s ceiling turned out to be. On Saturday, the Bulldogs clinched the program’s first outright SEC title since 2008 with a 13-8 win over LSU. They followed up with another win on Sunday and are 21-6 in the league, 4.5 games up on Texas and Texas A&M with one weekend to play.
