Claudia Winkleman, Prue Leith and Dr Who star lead best-dressed Wimbledon celebs as stars descend on day 8 of tennis tournament

The second week of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships got underway today with a host of famous faces descending on the All England Club for day eight of the tournament.

The Traitors presenter Claudia Winkleman opted for an all-cream ensemble as she arrived at the All England Club on day eight, sporting a blazer and trousers combination with a white top and matching footwear.

Ms Winkleman was also joined by her rarely seen youngest son, Arthur Thykier, 14, and husband Kris Thykier for the day out at SW19.

The television presenter shares three children with the TV producer, including eldest son Jake, 23, and daughter Matilda, 20, who were not in attendance.

Arthur has largely remained out of the public eye, making the family appearance a rare one.

Ms Winkleman has previously spoken candidly about prioritising family life, stepping down from her BBC Radio 2 show in 2024 to spend more time with her children.

Television chef Prue Leith added a splash of vibrancy to proceedings, donning a floral dress complemented by eye-catching spectacles and jewellery, whilst clutching a glass of Pimm's.

This is not the first time Ms Leith has graced centre court. She has been a notable attendee in recent years, including making appearances during the 2025 tournament.

Doctor Who actor Ncuti Gatwa, who portrayed the 15th incarnation of the Time Lord in the BBC series, made an appearance in a light grey suit featuring a checked pattern.

Sir Lenny Henry, 67, also made his way to the championships alongside his partner Lisa Makin, cutting a smart figure in a brown suit worn over a cream shirt and tie.

The comedian's entertainment career stretches back five decades, having launched into the spotlight after winning the television talent competition New Faces in 1975.

His appearance added to the star-studded gathering as celebrities descended on SW19 for the opening of the tournament's second week.

The royal box welcomed some of tennis's most celebrated figures, with American legend Billie Jean King taking her seat to observe the Centre Court action.

Ms King, whose life was depicted by Emma Stone in the 2017 biographical film Battle of the Sexes, claimed 39 grand slam titles during her illustrious career, securing her maiden major singles victory at Wimbledon in 1966 and sweeping all three titles six years later.

Her 1979 doubles triumph alongside Martina Navratilova marked her historic 20th championship crown.

Swiss great Roger Federer sat beside former British player Debbie Jevan, having seen his record for most men's singles victories at the tournament overtaken by Novak Djokovic the previous day.

Carole Middleton, mother of the Princess of Wales, was photographed welcoming Federer to the royal box whilst wearing a pale blue blazer. Kate's sister Pippa Matthews joined her, dressed in a white summer frock adorned with red floral details.

The Duchess of Gloucester was also present for the greeting.

The Princess of Wales herself had visited the grounds earlier in the week, attending on Thursday in her capacity as patron of the All England Club.

During her visit, she distributed tickets to spectators waiting in Wimbledon's renowned queue and watched British hopeful Arthur Fery compete against Finland's Otto Virtanen in the second round.
