yüzde 97,81'ini aldı. Tek rakibi Muhammed Farah Samatar ise oyların yüzde 2,19'unu elde etti. Bakanlık, seçimlere katılım oranının ise yüzde 80,33 olduğunu bildirdi. 1999 yılından bu yana görevde bulunan ve 78 yaşında olan Guelleh, Afrika Boynuzu’nda yer alan ülkenin liderliğini sürdürüyor. Guelleh, 2021 yılında yapılan son seçimlerde de oyların yüzde 97’sini almıştı. Cibuti, Afrika Boynuzu’nda yer alan, nüfusu 1 milyonu biraz aşan küçük ancak son derece stratejik bir ülke. Babülmendep Boğazı’ndaki konumu ve Kızıldeniz ile Aden Körfezi arasındaki geçişi kontrol etmesi, ülkeye büyük bir jeopolitik önem kazandırıyor. Cibuti, onlarca yıldır Fransa, ABD, Japonya ve Çin gibi büyük küresel güçlerin askeri üslerine ev sahipliği yapıyor.
