Christian Pulisic recovers from his World Cup injury by hanging out with Megan Moroney in Nashville

Christian Pulisic and the USMNT were bounced from the World Cup in the Round of 16 by Belgium back on July 6. He left what ended up being a 4-1 loss early with an apparent ankle injury.

What can be gathered from his recent sightings is that he's enjoying the time off he was looking forward to when asked about the injury after the loss. The soccer world didn’t appreciate him taking himself out early.

Pulisic doesn't seem to be too concerned about that. He's moving on from the World Cup. He's got country music concerts to attend and at least one country music star to hang out with in Nashville.

Last week, Christian took his cousin to a Megan Moroney concert in Florida. On Monday night, he was spotted hanging out in Nashville with the singer at Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row on Broadway.

Naturally, a wounded soccer star catching up on his rest and a big-name country music star being spotted out together has people talking and speculating about the nature of their relationship.

Are these two friends? Or is there something more going on here? Is she helping to nurse him back to full strength through the power of song and companionship?

They've also been seen together a couple of times now on social media and Pulisic is having a better summer than a lot of people are.

This relationship, if that's what it is, will do much more for the sport of soccer in the U.S. than him playing injured in a loss that at that point was going to happen whether he was on the field or not.
