المصدر: CGTN EN | Source: CGTN ENThe development of state-to-state relations and cooperation should not target any third party, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said Tuesday.
Lin made the remarks at a regular news briefing when asked to comment on reports that the United States plans to boost its spending by hundreds of millions of dollars to counter China's rising influence in the Americas, Africa and Asia.
Noting that China has always opposed the formation of exclusive groupings, Lin said China's cooperation with other countries and regions, particularly developing countries, is not about courting support or rivaling anyone. Instead, it aims to jointly safeguard world peace, promote global development, uphold the international order and build a community with a shared future for humanity.
