They have already made £160m from player sales in this window. Only Newcastle (£244m) and Aston Villa (£202m) have generated more from outgoings.
But do not be surprised if Chelsea end the summer window as the league's top sellers once again after recouping a record £314m one year ago.
Chelsea have a squad of more than 40, according to the club website, and there are expected to be a number of exits in the final three weeks of the window.
Which defenders could leave?
Xabi Alonso wants to cut his number of centre-back options down to five, and he currently has nine.
Trevoh Chalobah has already left to join Como in a deal worth up to £30.8m. Benoit Badiashile and Axel Disasi are likely to join him through the exit door.

Napoli have so far indicated they are willing to pay around £20m all in for Badiashile in a deal that would see him move on an initial loan with an option to buy.
However, the Blues value Badiashile at £30m. He has four years left on his contract.
Meanwhile, Chelsea will be seeking at least £25m for Disasi, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Ham.
Reports have emerged this week of interest in Tosin. As things stand, Chelsea's valuation of the former Fulham defender is unknown.
Mamadou Sarr, who joined Chelsea last summer from partner club Strasbourg, is being lined up for a loan move.
There has been plenty of speculation around the future of full-back Malo Gusto. Chelsea are not trying to sell the France international and value him at £75m.
Which strikers could leave?
Chelsea have a surplus of strikers following the signing of veteran forward Danny Welbeck from Brighton.
Nicolas Jackson, Liam Delap and Marc Guiu are the players who could move on as a result.
Jackson spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and has interest from Aston Villa among a number of clubs. Chelsea want £65m for Jackson.
Any deal between Villa and Chelsea is complicated by UEFA's rules around player swaps and both clubs being in a settlement agreement with European football's governing body.
As Morgan Rogers joined Chelsea from Villa within 45 days of the window closing, it means any subsequent deal between the clubs will go down as a player exchange, which is not ideal on the accounting books.
Delap struggled in his first season at Chelsea after being signed from Ipswich for £30m. Nonetheless, he is valued at around £50m by Chelsea after scoring twice last season.
Everton have previously held an interest, as one of the many clubs that tried to sign Delap from Ipswich last summer.
Guiu, who had his loan at Sunderland cut short last season, reportedly has interest from Spain and Italy, with Chelsea looking for around £25m to let him go this summer.
What about Enzo Fernandez?
Barcelona's pursuit of Rodri has raised the prospect of Manchester City making a late move for Enzo Fernandez before the window closes.
City have targets in mind for any player who departs and Fernandez is one of the players they are interested in. He also had a strong working relationship with City's new boss Enzo Maresca when they were at Chelsea together.
But Chelsea are not trying to sell Fernandez, who has six years left on his contract, and value him at £120m. Remember they signed him for around £107m from Benfica in the 2023 winter window.
Fernandez was dropped for two games in April after he admitted he would welcome living in Madrid. The player and his agent also apologised for his comments. They had been seeking improved terms at Chelsea.
