By BRETT LACKEY, NEWS REPORTER, AUSTRALIA Published: 15:19, 25 June 2026 | Updated: 15:19, 25 June 2026 A single ticket holder has won the Powerball $40million prize but could be none the wiser. The only Division One winning ticket for draw 1571 on Thursday night had the numbers 7, 29, 25, 18, 26, 23 and 17, with the Powerball of 16. The ticket was purchased from a NSW Lotteries outlet in the ACT. It is the third biggest lottery prize ever won in Canberra. The ticket was not registered to a player card or online account through The Lott Members Club so officials have no way of contacting the winner until they realise and bring the ticket to an outlet. 'What an incredible way to finish FY26,' The Lott spokesperson Matt Hart said. 'Someone has become an overnight multi-millionaire but possibly doesn't know it yet,' he said. 'We can't wait for them to discover this winning news! Just imagine how $40 million might change your life and the lives of your nearest and dearest.' 'If you discover you're holding the division one winning entry, hold on tight to that ticket and phone 131 868 as soon as possible so that we can start the prize claim process,' he said. One ticket holder won the entire $40million Powerball jackpot on Thursday No comments have so far been submitted.
