CCTV is released after woman 'is sexually assaulted in Derby car park'

Published: 20:54, 24 August 2026 | Updated: 20:56, 24 August 2026 Police have released CCTV footage of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a woman at a Derby car park.  The alleged attack, which Derbyshire Police said occurred at a car park at Becket Well Lane, took place some time between 4:30am and 5:25am on Sunday, August 23.  The force has since published CCTV footage of a man they say 'may be able to help with officers' enquiries'. The man - who has dark hair and facial hair - is seen wearing a white t-shirt, a tan jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.  A statement issued by the force reads: 'Detectives have released an image of a man they would like to speak about a sexual assault in Derby. 'An investigation was launched following a report that a woman was assaulted in a car park in Becket Well Lane some time between 4:30 and 5:25am on Sunday morning (23 August). 'It is thought the man pictured may be able to help with officers’ enquiries.'
