CCTV is released after 'man follows teenage girl onto bus, Tube and then sexually assaults her'

Published: 20:23, 4 August 2026 | Updated: 20:24, 4 August 2026 CCTV has been released after a man followed a teenage girl onto a bus and a train and then allegedly sexually assaulted her. The incident occurred at around 12.40pm on Wednesday 8 July. The 16-year-old got on a bus heading towards Abbey Wood Underground station and claimed a man followed her on board. Throughout the journey the girl said she noticed the man looking at her. She then got off and was reportedly followed by the man onto an Elizabeth Line train at Abbey Wood and got off at Tottenham Court Road. The girl claimed she was again followed by the man who approached her and allegedly sexually assaulted her before walking off.  After the teenager reported the incident, police released a CCTV image. Information can also be shared anonymously to Crimestoppers.  The man appears to be middle-aged and was pictured in a yellow shirt and black shorts.
