Car left hanging in the air after slamming into Brisbane council bus at major intersection

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Beaudesert Road and Granard Road in Rocklea at 6.30pm on Wednesday. Witnesses reported that a blue Toyota Yaris collided with a Brisbane City Council bus, which was not carrying any passengers at the time.  Pictures from the scene show the front of the car embedded in the bus. The vehicle's rear wheels appeared to be suspended about two metres above the road.  The car's driver, a woman, was treated for shock and taken to hospital. No other serious injuries were reported. 'Good thing there were no passengers on the bus at the time because it would have been disastrous,' one user commented on a 7NEWS Facebook post.  Another added: 'It is so lucky no one was on the bus.'
