كتب بزشكيان، في منشور باللغة الروسية عبر منصة "إكس"، أن "رسائل الرئيس بوتين ودعم الشعب الروسي تلهمنا في هذه الحرب"، معتبرًا أن صمود وشجاعة الشعب الإيراني يبشران بعلاقات جديدة تضمن أمن شرق آسيا من قبل دول المنطقة. وأضاف: "نيابة عن الشعب الإيراني، أشكر حكومة وشعب روسيا".

ويأتي هذا الموقف بعد أيام من محادثة هاتفية أجراها بوتين مع بزشكيان في 10 آذار، أكد خلالها الجانب الروسي استمرار مناقشة الوضع في منطقة الشرق الأوسط في ضوء الهجوم الأميركي الإسرائيلي على إيران.

وأفادت الخدمة الصحافية للكرملين أن بوتين شدد خلال الاتصال على موقفه الداعي إلى التهدئة السريعة للنزاع وحله بالوسائل السياسية، فيما شكر بزشكيان موسكو على دعمها وتقديم مساعدات إنسانية لإيران.
