It also provides a chance to punch their ticket to the next major championship with a victory.That’s exactly what Bud Cauley was able to do as he shot a final score of -17 to win the RBC Canadian Open and punched his ticket to the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club this upcoming weekend.Cauley outlasted several big name golfers on his way to victory, namely Matt Fitzpatrick, Tommy Fleetwood, Viktor Hovland, and Wyndham Clark. Ultimately, it was Cauley’s final round 65 which sealed his first PGA Tour victory of his career. What might be more impressive is Cauley’s comeback after a 2018 car accident which left him hospitalized with several broken bones and a punctured lung.Cauley is the latest of a long list of players who are lesser known players to claim victory on the PGA Tour. Last week it was J.T.
