Britain's armed forces set for inflation-busting pay rise in major military boost
Britain's armed forces are set for an inflation-busting pay rise in a major military boost.
The salary bump is understood to be announced within the next few days while morale is beginning to look upward, a survey has shown.
A Whitehall insider said: "Our armed forces are the very best of Britain.
"They’re being called upon more often as the world gets more dangerous and unstable, so it’s only right they get a pay rise that reflects that."
As a result of a series of pay rises to the troops, all ranks are paid in accordance with the living wage.
Latest data from the Armed Forces Continuous Attitude Survey revealed that 45 per cent of employees were satisified with their service life overall, jumping from 42 per cent in 2025.
