Brentford Submit €15m Bid for Zakaria El Ouahdi as Premier League Interest Grows

Rabat – Brentford have made a first bid of €15 million, plus add-ons worth up to €6 million. The club has been targeting El Ouahdi to strengthen their right side, especially young players who can develop on the long term.

Brentford are also facing competition,one of the clubs eyeing the progress of the Moroccan full-back is Crystal Palace, who have already started looking for a possible replacement for their current star Daniel Muñoz. Reports suggest that they are following El Ouahdi in action over the past few weeks.

But Genk can play hard to get. El Ouahdi committed his future to the Belgian club in September 2024, with a contract up to June 2028, giving Genk all the cards in their hands. And according to the papers, Genk are not in a rush to sell for less than €25 million and on top of that, the price can reach €30 million with performance-related add-ons.

For now, it is Brentford who have made their move, but as more clubs join the race; the battle for El Ouahdi’s signature will only get harder in the months to come.
