The youngster is said to have fallen from a window from a property in Middlesbrough where a cordon has since been erected. Emergency services descended on Palmer Street in the Gresham area at around 5pm on Thursday (April 2) with police reporting they have opened an investigation into the incident. Paramedics rushed to the scene before transporting the youngster to James Cook University Hospital, reports Teesside Live. One resident said she had heard a child fell from the window and saw police and an ambulance at the scene at teatime on Thursday. One man living on the road said he didn't know what had happened, adding: "No-one really talks around here but there's always something going on." A police car remains parked on the street and detectives were seen knocking on doors. A police cordon remained in place as of Friday morning with Palmer Street taped off just before it meets Diamond Road. Detective Inspector Rebecca Taylor, from Cleveland Police's Protecting Vulnerable People team, said: "Shortly before 5pm on Thursday, April 2, police were called to Palmer Street in Middlesbrough following concerns for a child who was reported to have fallen from the window of a property.
