Emergency services were called to Collins Street, near the intersection of Elizabeth Street, about 2.10pm on Monday. A 37-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition. It's understood he suffered stab wounds to his upper body. 'An investigation into the incident is ongoing and it is yet to be determined how the man sustained the injuries,' Victoria Police said in a statement. A crime scene was briefly established in front of jewellery stores on Collins St but has since been cleared. Anyone with information or who witnessed the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
